= INTROSEC - Introduction to Information Security = == Level == Advanced level - Second cycle course == Requirements == 90 credits in Computer and Systems Sciences or 90 credits in a DSV bachelor programme with at least 60 credits in Computer and Systems Sciences. == Aim == After completing the course the student should be able to understand and communicate their understanding of: * main areas of security, basic and applied aspects and perspectives of information security and digital security * basic terminology, models and principles for information security and digital security * current relevant issues in information security and digital security as key threats and solutions and urgent research topics. == Syllabus == The course is primarily an introductory course that prepares students for advanced studies in the field of information security and digital security. The course therefore provides a general conceptual framework for the subject area and provide familiarity with the terminology that is relevant to the more specialized safety and forensikkurserna offered by the department. The course is characterized more theoretical than applied studies, which means that the student can expect to discover productive way to reason about security rather than how to secure specific systems. Lectures supports the student's studies in the areas judged to be more challenging and demanding.
