The student should, after completing the course, know: * How organisations can be made more efficient by organising and representing the organisation’s knowledge so that it can be reused and how to motivate this reuse of other people’s knowledge among the employees. * What knowledge is, how it can be defined, communicated and stored. * Why big investments in knowledge management systems are being made in the "knowledge economy" The student should, after completing the course, be able to: * Collect and represent both formal and informal knowledge. * Describe knowledge in a way that makes it easy to recycle it. * Formulate goals for improved competence. * Recognise and use popular methods used within KM today * Relate competence to motivation, efficiency, cooperation and development. * Build a learning organisation == Syllabus == Knowledge is an organisation’s most important and valuable asset. Organisations that can stimulate creative learning and that have an innovative climate have a competitive advantage. This course is suitable if you want to work as a management consultant or a knowledge manager. A large part of the course is based around turning theories into practice. All aprticipants will contribute to the course with some knowledge or experiences.
